SF49Hills
ultra challenge
49 Hills. 50 Summits. 50 Miles. 100% San Francisco.
SF49Hills ultra challenge
Take the SF49Hills ultra challenge and put yourself on the map. See the city from the 49 hills of San Francisco, starting and finishing at the city’s highest point, cresting 50 summits along the way.
- Summit all 49 hills of San Francisco, starting and finishing at Mt. Davidson Cross. Travel by foot only. The route is yours to design.
- A hill’s summit is its highest point. If a hill’s true summit is ambiguous, inaccessible or too dangerous to reach, pass over the hill’s highest available topographic elevation ring (per Strava).
- Only travel over public rights of way and remain on established trails/paths. No time or distance advantage may be achieved by trespassing, trail-cutting in parks or trail-blazing open hillsides. Crossing over public, recreational-use lawns/spaces is allowed.
- Time determined by running clock from start to finish.
- Assume the risk. You may be injured or die doing this.
